Mahindra XUV 7XO is the new identity for the facelifted Mahindra XUV700, as officially confirmed by manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra. The automaker has announced that the XUV 7XO will debut on 5 January 2026, and this is also when pricing details will be revealed.The rebranding reflects Mahindra’s latest naming convention for its ICE-powered SUVs, following the earlier rename of the XUV300 to Mahindra XUV 3XO

What’s New — Design, Style, and Features

The teaser video released by Mahindra reveals several exterior updates for the XUV 7XO. These include dual-pod headlamps with inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, a new blacked-out grille with silver slats, and fresh LED tail lights borrowed from the recently launched Mahindra XEV 9S.

Under the skin, however, the XUV 7XO remains mechanically similar to the outgoing XUV700. The SUV is expected to retain the same powertrain options — a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel unit, both available with six-speed manual and automatic transmissions. The diesel version is likely to continue offering an all-wheel-drive option.

Interior Expectations and Market Position

Spy shots suggest that the XUV 7XO will sport updated interiors, including a triple-screen setup, a new two-spoke steering wheel, and soft-touch elements on the dashboard — signalling a modern cabin with improved ambience.According to reports, production of the existing XUV700 will cease once the XUV 7XO goes on sale, marking a full transition to the new model.

Though the official price is yet to be announced, the XUV 7XO is expected to be priced slightly higher than the outgoing model — with industry estimates pointing to a range around ₹15.00–26.00 lakh (ex-showroom).The update aims to help the XUV 7XO remain competitive in the premium three-row SUV segment.
